Who is responsible
Ægteskab Uden Grænser (ÆUG, Marriage Without Borders) is the data controller for the information you give us. If you have questions about your information, write to info@aegteskabudengraenser.dk.
When you become a member
We store the information you write in the membership form: your name, the names of your partner or family for couple and family memberships, email, phone if you write it, and address. We also store your membership number, membership type, when you joined, your payments and your customer number with Betalingsservice.
We use the information to manage your membership: to collect the fee, to send you information from the association and to invite you to the general meeting. The legal basis is your membership of the association (Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation).
We do not store information about your case, your residence status or your family situation in the membership register.
Who can see your information
Only the few volunteers who handle member service and finances can see the membership register. We never sell your information and only share it with those who help us run the association:
- DigitalOcean, which runs the server where the website and membership register are stored. The server is in the EU.
- Google Workspace, which we use for email.
- Mailchimp, if we send you newsletters. You can always unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of the newsletter.
- Betalingsservice and our bank, which collect the membership fee.
When you write to the advice service
If you write to us about your case, we only use the information to answer you. We do not share it without your permission, and we delete it when it is no longer needed.
How long we keep your information
We keep your information for as long as you are a member. If you leave, we delete your contact details within a year. We keep information about payments for five years after the end of the financial year, because Danish bookkeeping law requires it.
Your rights
You have the right to see the information we hold about you and to have incorrect information corrected. You can ask us to delete your information or limit how we use it, and you can object to our use of it. You also have the right to receive your information so you can take it elsewhere.
Write to medlemsservice@aegteskabudengraenser.dk if you want to use your rights. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Datatilsynet.
Cookies and visits to the website
The website does not use cookies for statistics or advertising. Your browser only remembers whether you have chosen a light or dark look and Danish or English. The fonts are stored on our own server, so the site does not load anything from others when you visit it.
The forum at forum.aeug.dk has its own rules for users and cookies, which you can read on the forum.
