Every Dane should have the right to family life in Denmark
Far too many Danes are fighting an unfair battle for love. The Aliens Act is tightened and made stricter at regular intervals, and every time the rules are tightened, children are affected too.
The campaign film was funded by David Heinemeier Hansson, who, together with us and the production company Holy Ravioli, created a film from a child's perspective about how Danish children are hit by the crazy family reunification rules. 2021: Til Staten Os Skiller (Till the State Do Us Part)
The documentary follows three couples who each come up against the system and find themselves caught between love, frustration and family reunification. With the film, we want to show how the current rules affect people, and what they mean for the individual, the family and society.
In 2021 there was also a citizens' proposal to abolish the bank guarantee and the fees for family reunification.
2016: Grænser for kærlighed (Limits to Love)
Love exists between people everywhere. It knows no borders, and yet it can be forbidden. Together with Forvandlende Fortællinger, ÆUG put the spotlight on the thousands of Danes who are restricted from living in Denmark with the people they love. Eight members bravely shared their stories in front of several hundred people at Bremen Teater.
